Top 5 Water-based Fun Activities for Your Dog to Beat the Summer Heat

When temperature soars high and heat wave sets in, the summer comes with all the blaze of hot weather. It can become a challenging task for you to keep and protect your furry pals from such scorching heat. Well, to help you beat that hot conditions, we are here with funfull water activities that will drip down the temperature and allow you and your furry pal to enjoy the sun.

Go for Kayaking
It is the best experience, when you do it with your furry friend. You can explore the nearby lakes and water bodies through kayaking. Take your pooch along with you and seep in the beautiful scenery around along with discovering the new water creatures. It will not only give you a workout but a fresh breath and some adventure to your pooch. Your Fido can be little nervous in the starting but taking him along with you will slowly break the ice.

Ride The Waves through Surfing
You may be feeling that it is almost dangerous to take your pooch on surfing but you may be amazed that he loves to do it more than you. Though it will take little practice but when you train him consistently, it will take no time for him to be a master. It’s always fun to watch your dog doing something new and amazing. (A step by step training is required by your Fido to do surfing.)

Paddleboarding (Suping)
If you are looking to have a row on a paddleboarding, it is time to take your furry pooch with you. He may not be knowing to row that paddles, but definitely would give you a company, and the water riding would be wonderful.

Beach Games
Nothing more interesting to do than catching a ball in the water. When going on the beach to beat that summer heat, take a ball along with you. A fetch and catch game with your Fido on the beach would not only be fun filling but improves the agility of your dog.

Go Swimming
If you are not going anywhere outdoors, then going to a swimming pool can help you to have a great water activity. Splashing water on your dog or swimming along with him is quite interesting. If your dog doesn’t know how to swim, you can join him swimming classes.

Playing In Fresh Water Bodies
Splashing and going for swim in fresh water lake is what your pooch can love the most. But, you need to be mindful when taking in natural water bodies, there may be a risk of deep waters or may be unknown water creatures. If there is a prohibition from entering from such water bodies, never take the risk of taking your furry pal into such unknown waters. If you are familiar with those water bodies, you can have a great time frolicking with your furry pal. Don’t forget to put ezydog floatation vest on your dog for his safety.

Remember, summer is a not about only hot sun but also a flea and tick season, and going out for these fun activities also means an exposure to the parasitic attack. Apply a branded flea and tick preventive or you can administer Nexgard or Bravecto dog if your pet does not like any messy solution. Moreover, oral chews are more effective when it comes to involving your pet in water fun activities. So, never take a chance and enjoy fully with your furry pal.
