If a friend visits you for a brunch on a holiday, and while having a brunch, you have a discussion with your friend relating to how great it is to have a pet in a house, and how they make an emotional bond with humans. Moreover, you also share some of your amazing incidents with your cat and all of the sudden your cutie cat comes to you and starts cuddling you. Seeing your healthy cat, your friend might be surprised. He may prompt, hey!!! She looks so healthy. Your friend further adds that your cat has got the best parent in the world. Well! Isn’t this whole scenario seems amazing? You feel a sense of satisfaction and proud that you are taking good care of your cat to maintain her health.
But as a cat parent, you need to understand certain things when it comes to vet visit for a routine check-up of your cat. Sometimes, we forget to ask some important questions related to the health of our cat. So, what you can do is make a checklist before visiting your vet. Pen down all the important questions that you want to ask your vet. Now, this is also a challenging task to what should you ask your vet? Here are some questions which will help you to prepare a proper checklist before you visit a vet. 



First thing is don’t forget to carry the paper or a book in which you have written your questions.

Here are some questions you can ask your vet.
  • ·         You are taking care of your cat but what are the other things that you have to consider to keep the cat healthy.
  • ·         Which food items are not good for cat’s health?
  • ·         Which food items you can add to cat’s food.
  • ·         If you have a dog and cat both in your house then which infections your cat might get from your dog?
  • ·         If you see any minor change in your cat’s health or behavior brief your vet about it and ask the reason for the same.
  • ·         Which preventive measures you are required to take to protect your cat from common infections.
  • ·         Bring a fecal sample during your vet visit. Your vet will examine it for any worms.
  • ·         Ask your vet about the zoonotic diseases that you might get from your cat or dog.
  • ·         Cats have a habit of hiding their pain or injury. What to do in such cases and how to recognize the pain or injury?
  • ·         How to groom your cat? Which products can you use to groom your cat in a best possible way?
  • ·         If you have made any change in your cat’s food, grooming or playing tell this to your vet.
  • ·         If you have recently adopted a kitty ask your vet about the important vaccinations to be given to your kitty.

This checklist will make you sound as a good cat parent who takes every small or big step to protect the cat.
